After picking, the leaves are carefully massaged to bring out the juices, they are then hand-rolled into little balls and then left to ferment to intensify all the biologically active ingredients. Ivan Chain is reported to be a very beneficial anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Naturally caffeine, oxalic & uric acid free, making this a wonderful tea for any time of the day or evening. Enjoyed for it’s calming and restorative properties, Ivan tea is delicious and very easy to drink and is a healthy alternative to black tea with a rich composition of valuable vitamins and minerals. First Nation peoples of Canada drank Ivan tea for gastro-intestinal and bronchial problems and one of its chemical compounds has been patented as an anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory ingredient for skincare products.
