Description
Brigantia ist der erste Single Malt Whisky vom Bodensee. Der Name "Brigantia" wurde in Anlehnung an den römischen Gelehrten Plinius den Älteren gewählt, welcher ca. 70 n. Chr. den oberen Teil des Bodensees (heutiger Obersee) in seinen Aufzeichnungen als Lacus Brigantius erwähnte. Nach sorgfältiger Destillation auf der Steinhauser Brennereianlage von 1890, erhält diese Brigantia-Abfüllung eine 5 Jahre lange Reifung in Whiskyfässern der Insel Islay und verleiht diesem Brigantia erdig-rauchige Noten mit einem Hauch von Islay-Flair.
