„Nur wer sucht, wird fündig“ – nach diesem Motto wurde der Scarabus Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky erschaffen. Benannt nach einem Gebiet in Islay bedeutet der Begriff Scarabus so viel wie „felsiger Ort“. Die Motive auf der Flasche wurden von John Francis Campbell inspiriert - er war schottischer Gelehrter und Autor. Für den Scarabus Batch Strength wird eine kleine Selektion von Scarabus Islay Single Malt-Fässern verwendet, um diese bei einem höheren Alkoholgehalt abzufüllen. Dabei bleibt der typische süß-torfige Scarabus Charakter erhalten und wird durch eine zusätzliche Intensität, Vollmundigkeit und einem länger anhaltenden Abgang verfeinert.
